The Wizard of Earthsea series by Usula K. Le Guin

Love all the books in this series, but The Tombs of Atuan is probably my favorite and I come back to it often.

A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin

I probably failed French in high school because I was too busy reading these. The Game of Thrones show doesn't do the books justice- the worldbuilding is so good- one of the major things that sticks with me after reading this is a passage that just describes a stew that Samwell Tarley has after reaching the citadel. The greatness of this book is the little things.

Dune

Dune rocks, everyone I know irl knows I love Dune and would have me explain it to them so much that I'm actually kind of over it now. Still amazing though, believe the hype.
