Hello, I'm Damian (They/She/He) and this is my personal site!

I was born in 1999, I've lived in the Bay Area all my life, and am currently in San Jose. I majored in History and minored in Radio-TV-Film in college, and I work as an Audio Visual Technician in a few different theaters.

I'm non-binary, mixed filipino and white, and bisexual. Sometimes I get really disillusioned with the concept of labels around gender, race, and sexuality, because I find them to be really arbitrary constructs that have a lot more to do with how others percieve me rather than how I see myself. I think I was drawn to being non-binary because I find ideas around gender to be restrictive and limiting, and being mixed race has shown me that race is entirely context dependent. For example, in most of the United States, people percieve me as Asian American, because being filipino makes me stand out from white americans. Whereas in the Philipines, it is my whiteness that marks me as different, and that's how I'm percieved. But no matter where I go, I just am who I am.

I love cats, all music (but especially emo music), poetry, philosophy, the internet (duh), crafts, and fashion. I feel like all of my hobbies are connected in ways that are hard to explain.
